| “TAKE ME OUT” The star center fielder of the world champion New York Empire’s baseball team is young, Black, rich, famous, talented, and so convinced of his own popularity that when he casually announces he’s gay, he assumes the news will be readily accepted by everyone. Instead, it is a bombshell to his fans, friends and teammates alike and leads to hilarious and tragic complications that have kept theatre audiences everywhere spellbound. Even if you are not a fan of America’s favorite sport (baseball, in case, you didn’t know), this new Tony Award winning Best Play by Richard Greenberg will be an unforgettable theatrical experience.
